This is a relatively deep run in the 5 RnA on UB (11/25) Finished 18th out of 558 runners. www.pokerxfactor.com/HA206275/12799_20091126_194125/12799My comment are as follows Hand 40 End of Rebuy period 59 CO AJo Std raise and flatted by bb who c/rsd the A64r flop. Overjammed the K on the flop. It just seemed like a crazy line so I called, winning the pot As a general note, it appears I never raise limpers from the BB or even late position through hand 125 or so. 165 BB AQo 2 limpers and the button raises. I chose to fold. I cold have set the button alllin. Seems a bit weak 207 SB A6s M=4.4 shove from Co and I folded A6s… probably a call.. little tight 233 BTN AJo 3 limpers to me. I flded with 25% of stack available in the middle. Possible reshove THese are my rough observations after one run through of the HH. My observations start with Hand # / Position / Cards / Comments. Would like to do this with audio comments, but haven't figured that out as of yet. Rodney

Some of these are just my preference. I am always looking for discussion:
#24) I like a call w/22 to set mine. You’re deep enough. I think your call also gets at least MR_SANDMAN to also come along. #32) MR_SANDMAN is starting to look like a DONK. I assume that’s why you came over the top of his ridiculously odd raise. Donks as Donks be though, you still only have AJ (not a made hand). I assume you are hoping for a coin-flip here? I couldn’t really see him holding AT or worse. I like fold. There will be better spots down the road. #58) I like raising here (5x). MR_SANDMAN has played every hand and you have 9Ts on the button. Try to take it down. Even if CRAZY_MAN flats, you should have a profitable c-bet situation. #96) Go ahead and open KQ after the limper 3.5x is fine. #106) Open A9o. Your image is tight (if these guys even notice). You have 45BB and you can fold to anyone else’s re-raise. #115) I would 3-bet _WHODATNIN w/AJ. He looks to be isolating. Your move will still look very strong though, because he did not isolate that large. Easy fold if he comes over the top. I think you’re ahead here often. #121) I like a check raise here. BIRD_MAN bets almost every time seeing as you guys called out of the blinds. #124) Loosen up a little. You have 50BB, time to chip up and splash around a little. The Bird could have anything just standard raise and c-bet almost any flop. +EV #142) In this situation, I think you can gain some value by making it look like BIRD_MAN can take the pot down by coming over the top of your c-bet. Bet 4500 here. If he has a pair, he might think he has the best hand. Checking I like even better. If you check, I think he bets a number of turns (he’s been real splashy), and if he’s not ahead at this point already then he’s near drawing dead. #158) Q8s on the button is a raise/fold. You haven’t entered a pot in 2 orbits. #160) At some point you need to open up your game fred and bird have been limping a fair share and you haven’t raised them once. Go ahead and punish the limpers every once in a while. #165) This is a Push for me. Tons of dead money in the pot and you’re almost certain to be a coin flip or better. #172) The flop is Q82. Go ahead and lead ½ pot here sometimes. Even if called you have 5 cards to improve to on the turn. #174) T9s on the button is an open anytime. Much +EV #206) Lead the flop or at least bet the turn! They almost never have an A there. #209) T9s in the cut-off is an open anytime. Much +EV #218) You raised 35s from the cut-off but not T9? And then folded Q8s right after that #224) I’m re-isolating BENDER. Especially after his previous hand. #233 and on) OK. I’ve seen a TON of spots where you should have been happy to raise or get it in. This one especially. Before watching the end, I can tell how the rest of the story is going to go. You’re going to blind down, get in a coin flip or better and lose. I’ve been there. You were hovering around 30BB for most of the tournament. Antes and blinds are now significant so the action has picked up. It’s obvious you’re out of your comfort zone here. A great thing for you would be to spend some time with Pokerstove and Sheet’s push/fold spreadsheets. Your play seems solid and well disciplined. Gain some confidence in the higher blind and ante structures and you’ll definitely see some cashes!
