Will take place either Thursday Night 8pm or Saturday Night 8 pm ... either one.
Rereading over my "coles" notes on Harrington...all my charts, starting hands and reviewing my play in the last 5 tournaments.
Reviewing my HH and some of my plays - especially referencing poor bet sizing, Cbetting when serious checking is in order.
I am walking daily, visualizing my play. Working out Today, Thursday and Friday to really feel some energy for Saturday. If I play Thursday - I'll take a nice 45 mins walk to clear the head.
I want to be tight - aggressive - allowing and trusting my reads for timely bluffs, calls etc. seems to be my strong point.
NO DISTRACTIONS, including skype, hotmail. TV, kids, wife...
Finally - TIME - to book 10 hours required to win, not have it in the back of my mind that I have something else to go to...or that I can live with losing - I CAN'T.
I have the Saturday booked and fired up...but perhaps a chance to play Thursday with the same limited distractions....maybe both.
I will win, because my focus will be razor sharp.

We'll all be watching ... gl.
What's your approach to rebuys? I assume there will be extreme rebuy-maniacs in this tournament - where do you fall on that scale and how do you deal with the maniacs at your table?
Are there any good videos on lower-buyin rebuys that you recommend? I've watched several $100R videos but I can't remember if there are any good $10R or $3R videos, and I imagine they play quite differently.
It looks like last night's $3R took 7.5 hours, with 4395 players, 8814 rebuys and 2625 addons, so about 2 rebuys per entrant and 0.6 addons.
You set a great example with the level of commitment/focus/determination...

I have experimented with both...once donking off 40$ trying to cross dress and be Annette_15.
The two best finishes, I have adjusted, if someone is willing to Gambol early then I'll wear that hat gladly....I use my SAT winnings to play in those.
If the table is tight/average - I'll gamble with AK/AQ all ins etc. and look to grow my stack wisely.
There are a few...again I've watched the maniacs, Annette HH and Kevin Saul.
I did watch a 3$ rebuy video but since I don't personally like the maniac approach the Early stuff did little for me.
My albatross is opening hands at the right time, stealing etc. later in the tournament.

The thread starts to look like it is gonna be either 1re-buy and add-on or 8 re-buys and add-on. Either way you go deep.

First hour in the books and a nice start...
AA vs. 4 all ins to get me to 12k
Then a nice 7500 chip call 44 win vs. 33
At 22k - with add on 25k top 50
Now focusing on making good decisions....walking around every break to keep fresh
No distractions.

hmmm out in like 1100th
I played so so ... made to many calls with speculative hands.
Was patient when I had 20 BB and ran my AK into QQ etc.
I did follow through on the mental focus experiment.
I set up my week to play tonight. I came to the office with Gert the poker playing dog....but I focused.
I stayed off skype MSN etc.
And I felt a little in space....it was an odd type focus....
I thought the reads were off tonight, I wasn't in it as much as I usually am.
Did not having distractions make a huge difference to me...no - didn't really feel like it help or hurt my game.
I think a limited number is good, but I find the skype chat keeps me into it, and I enjoy it more....
25k in the first hour - led nowhere....
