This by far the most interesting exercise I have attempted in a while. I'm a fan of Tommy Angelo who says that we have to develop our game from the top up and the bottom up. Basically, aside from improving our A game, this is all about lopping off our C-Game - the game we play when we are tired, distracted, lacking focus, tilted, at the wrong table (cash obv), in fact all the things that cause us to play sub-optimally.
I thought this would be easy. I have now discovered that I never ever do this. Mentally preparing properly for an MTT and removing all distractions for a period of 6-10 hours which is what it will take to win is literally something I don't think I have ever done.
Even more interesting for me is the fact that I'm breaking out in a cold sweat just thinking about when I will do it and making a commitment to a date and time.
I'll get back to you when I have worked out what this all means.

You sound a little like Tiger Woods McLucky....tough time with commitment to just one....
We'll I hear you...especially since your use to firing up all things. I just listened to TA, and he basically explains, that we have a limited amount of concentration to go around, and every little distraction, takes concentration.
So by not focusing its -EV, and by complete focuse +EV....he does waffle a bit and say sometimes having someone online to chat with keeps you in emotional balance....
But this is an excercise - not saying its going to make you play better ... but its just to see the impact of distraction.
