I learn a lot from Hand Histories. It obviously comes down to style of play, Math vs. Intuition, level of competition ... is there ever just 1 right answer...I think most times "YES" but sometimes it depends...those are the hands I really like to debate. Partially because I am not sure what I am - I am a math guy for sure - but realize that style isn't conductive to winning loads of money. You have to play with feel and intuition.
And I like the fact people reason out hands, and why they do things - it teaches me about what others think, their process, and that can only help me. When people talk about "shoves" being weak - in lower limits - I might shove with a made hand - thinking my opposition will misinterpret.
We have some incredible players on this site - I recently received about 10 more "I want to join" emails - both current and past - who love commenting on Hand Histories. I enjoy reading the posts again and again....I visit this section often. I think of all the aspects of starting fresh and developing my game - the higher level thinking that is out there - has really taken me to a new level. Add weekly Fox and Sheets lectures - and as I understand AJK Hoosier is also taking HH - it is extremely valuable.
As part of my development - I've hired a Poker Coach, and will review key Hands in this Forum. I'll ask for his opinion and summarize his thoughts...so basically he'll be answering your questions on - if it was played right....and if it is up for debate - what his feeling is!
Considering the depth of expertise he brings, then add guys ranked in the World also commenting ... why wouldn't you post here?
The forums have been a little DEAD, which is cool. I understand the sheer number of reputable places to spend your forum time - all good. But consider here....
Several World Class (when I say World Class - I guess I speak of top 500 players in the world) are visiting here regularly and if you have hands worthy of their assessment - please post following our guidelines.
Otherwise - check back and see what they have to offer on my hands - I'll gladly take them up on their time.
Enjoy his commentary!
