Steve asked me to organize some kind of private MTT that would be fun, useful and worthwhile on a monthly basis.
Some of the initial suggestions thrown around included: - The winner uses the prize money to play a bigger buy-in on behalf of the syndicate and then commentates for those interested live on Skype and posts the HH. - All post HHs on PXF so we can share an 'all hands face up' replay - actually I organized one of these for Neil Channiing's Blackbelltpoker back in May and I got Bax and Sheets to do the commentary. About 40 people played and It was fun.
I'm happy to get this type of thing up and running but I need you to tell me what you think would interest you.
Can you all post some ideas on this thread and I'll figure out the consensus and make it happen. I guess if I wait for responses and then sort something out we should be able to have it up and running by January for the first one.
What do you think people?

+1 Always a good idea to level eachothers out.
Hopefully we could have 3k starting stacks and timing which fits all of us. Easiest spots are best grinding times but what would we would do for the community.
(mini prag. out in 3rd(7,5*bi) after river suckout in stars 10$ 45's MTTSNG)

Count on me... but it depends on the buy-in which i think mine is much lower then the rest of the players...

Im definitely interested in doing this, just depends on buyin and which site. I also saw that Blackbelt video you mention and wondered how Bax and Sheets had got involved.

Sounds good to me. I have seen beanmo sng vids on PXF where everyone playing is a sub and they all post their HH so all hands are revealed. I'm guessing this would be the same and we can all learn from it. Only concern would be buy-in for me since I am at the micro/low buy-in level at the moment

No worries about the cost guys - these are for educational / fun purposes so the buy-in will be affordably low. I think we might have more of a challenge initially just finding enough people to play! Hey - we almost have enough interest for a full nine handed table!!! Bounty on Steve's head obv

Bring it don't sing it...
I think you'll be surprised at the interest.
Some Thoughts:
1. sponsor the winner to do a commentary big buyin via skype 2. Pod vs Pod vs Pod....where the 3 hands are open to discussion amongst the pod team .... award overall prize to top POD combined 3. Heads Up Pod vs. Pod playdown league each week 4. Pair up Level 1 with Level 3...Level2's together to rail bird. 5. Do it every Monday 6 pm on off discussion weeks...
All in all a lot of chit chat - but the reality is - the biggest will take this down.
Bring it.

I'm in obv. I suggest $5 buyin - so it's not nothing but hopefully won't price anyone out?
I like the idea of the winner using the proceeds to play a bigger tournament - I can imagine that might seem like a stretch if you're a $1-buyin player, you cough up $5 to play the TPS tournament and then win the thing and end up in a $109 or whatever, but honestly if you're a $1 player and you beat all of us, I'll happily buy half your action in the big tournament.
For the first event I'd rather see just a straightforward freezeout where we can all line up against each other - there will be a certain glory attached to being the first individual TPS champion.
Love the idea of having an all-hands-revealed recap/commentary
OK I'm headed for the gate for my flight to paradise...

I'm in. My vote would be the 1st couple of tourneys to be regular freezeout tourneys and later advnace to a small rebuy if possible. I too like the idea of having all hands revealed recap. As for the POD vs POD tourneys I like this idea but I think it is better saved till later until we all get to know one another a bit, maybe have a Quarterly POD vs POD tournemnet.
gl at the tables,

OK guys & gals - this is starting to shape up well. Thanks for your feedback. Poker Stars have given me private MTT creation rights so we can go any time in the new year. Looks like the 11th or 18th January will be the first one. We have to stick with a 'standard' structure which means 1500 chips and 15 minute blinds. The payout structure has to be the standard as well which is basically 3 places paid for 6-15 players, 4 for 16-20, 5 for 21-25 etc. With up to 15 players it's a standard SNG payout of 50% / 30% / 20%. We'll go with a $5 buy in. I'm open to suggestions re start times - it's tough to fit in with everyone's clock but I'm thinking 4pm Eastern. Please shout if that doesn't suit. There will be a password that I'll give you nearer the date - we want to keep this to oursleves so that we can get all the HHs up on PXF so I'll probably send you an email or a skype message on the day. More on that later. To keep it simple and get us going we'll ignore PODs and players levels for this first one - the main objectives are a) to meet and play together b) to capture the HHs so we can review the tournament with all hands face up at a later date and c) sort out any teething problems re passwords etc. There will some additional incentives for winning which I'll come back to you about soon. Just wanted to keep everyone up to date, Looking forward to it

Count me in. Sounds like a great idea. I like the all hands revealed so that for a player like myself I could get feedback from others on alternate lines of play of hand, suggestions etc.
